Day 1 after having covid 🤯 I honestly couldn’t believe how weak I was. 🥺 I could not keep up with any of the workouts, and it honestly frustrated me because I was so excited to go back. I tried my best, but even after finishing my training, I had shortness of breath for about an hour and a half. Please take this seriously ! It’s not about recovering short term from this virus, it is the long term consequence that can come from this. @black_rose_fitness

I’ve been quiet… Not because I disappeared, but because I was drowning and didn’t even know it. You know that feeling when everyone thinks you have it all together, but inside you’re barely functioning? When you’re achieving everything society tells you to want, but you feel empty? That was me for the past two years. I had the degree everyone said I needed. The corporate opportunity that looked perfect on paper. The “safe” path that made my parents proud. But that environment broke me in ways I never saw coming. For the first time in my life, I was dealing with depression and anxiety - not because of who I am, but because of where I was. I was caught between what I actually wanted and what the patriarchy had convinced me I should want. Some nights I’d lie awake wondering: When did I stop listening to my own voice? The truth is, I’ve been running my business since I was 23. But somewhere along the way, I let other people’s definitions of success become louder than my own intuition. So I did something that terrified everyone around me - I walked away. From the corporate job. From the “should dos.” From trying to fit into a system that was never built for women like us. I chose myself. I chose my vision. I chose to trust that the path I’ve been building since 2016 was always the right one. If you’re reading this and something in your chest feels tight because you recognize this story… you’re not alone. We weren’t meant to shrink ourselves to fit into spaces that don’t celebrate who we really are.
