They told us self-love was selfish, but that was just a clever way to keep us tolerating what we don’t deserve. Here’s the truth: If you truly love yourself, you won’t chase breadcrumbs. You won’t fall for narcissists. You won’t settle for pain disguised as passion. I used to think love meant proving myself. Now I know it starts with protecting myself. Self-love isn’t narcissism, it’s the antidote to it.
