I wish I’d realised sooner that we’re not playing the same game. We all do it - compare ourselves to others in our industry, sure… but also to Instagram gurus and marketing coaches whose entire business model is growth and/or content itself. Because here’s the thing about those “I did it, you can too” accounts: At first? They’re motivating. Inspiring even. You think: “If they can do it, so can I.” But then you try it. And it doesn’t work the same way. And suddenly that inspiration turns into something else. You start questioning yourself. Second-guessing your content. Wondering what you’re doing wrong. But here’s what I finally realised: Their journey isn’t your journey. Their audience came to learn about growth. Your audience? They don’t care how to grow on Instagram. They care about: ✅Do I want this? ✅Do I trust you? ✅Is this for me? So when you try to copy what worked for them… You’re not building YOUR business. You’re building a watered-down version of theirs. The accounts that actually help? They don’t say “do what I did.” They say “let’s figure out what works for YOU.” Your business.Your voice.Your audience. That’s not a formula you can copy. That’s strategy. I see this every week. Founders second-guessing themselves, copying strategies that were never built for them. It’s exhausting watching brilliant businesses dim themselves down because they’re looking at the wrong scoreboard. Save this… because it’ll stop you second-guessing your content every week. You’re doing great 💛

And just like that it’s Easter holidays! You know when it feels like: Half-term → reset Back-to-routine → starting to gain momentum Easter → back in square 1 again Bracing myself for two weeks of juggle… Week one’s looking relatively manageable - older two in camps, youngest in nursery for three days. So I’m working. Week two? All three boys home and I haven’t planned a single thing. Well, we’ll see how this goes 😅 Wishing you calm vibes however your Easter looks 🐣 #workingmumproblems #femalebusinessowners #mobilevideographer
