Most people who come to me have already tried DIYing Reels on their own for way too long. They tried copying other people’s viral posts. They tried forcing batch creation systems that burned them out. They tried waiting for that one Instagram Reels course to be THE answer. But nothing worked because here’s what they don’t tell you: implementing on your own is HARD when you’re also running a business. Theory is easy. Doing it all yourself? That’s where it falls apart. When we changed from doing it alone to done-together, everything shifted. If you’ve been looping in the same pattern, there’s a better way. What if you only showed up once a month (or even better, once a quarter) instead of scrambling every week? Comment ‘BETTER’ if you want the shortcut. PS Now taking bookings for March + beyond 💛

Instagram has seen a massive shift in a recent year, but most of us are still playing by the old playbook. Following trends and “shoulds” might reward you with views… but I think it’s short-sighted. If you want to build a BRAND using Reels on Instagram - not just grow an account - you’ve gotta focus on personality-led content that grows your community and your personal brand in long-term. And yeah, unfortunately that means showing up more. More of YOU on camera. More of your actual perspective. Quick “stop the scroll” content isn’t dead - it still has its place. Especially if it leads with your point-of-view. But your main feed? That’s where you show what your brand is actually about. Not just follow whatever’s trending. Or what ‘gurus’ told you should post. When everyone’s using the same formulas, your personality is what differentiates you. Your stories are what build real connection. So stop asking “what’s trending?” or “what should I do?” and start asking “what do I actually want to say?” The videos that perform best and convert? They’re the ones where personality and point of view shines through so clearly, you feel like you already know the person behind the brand. And when time comes to decide about who to buy from, there won’t be any hesitation.

Are talking-to-camera videos intimidating for you? You’re not alone—and honestly, they can feel unnecessarily hard, especially if you’re not doing them regularly. But what if you only had to say three sentences to camera—and did the rest as a voiceover? That’s what I did here. Give it a go and see how it feels. Save this for the next time you’re stuck or share with a business owner who needs this tip. 💛 With a bit of practise, these can actually become the easiest Reels to film. #videocontentcreation #videoforbusiness #talkingtocamera #talkinghead #videoconfidence #reelsforbusiness #videostrategist #meetthesocialpro #kmcksocial

And just like that it’s Easter holidays! You know when it feels like: Half-term → reset Back-to-routine → starting to gain momentum Easter → back in square 1 again Bracing myself for two weeks of juggle… Week one’s looking relatively manageable - older two in camps, youngest in nursery for three days. So I’m working. Week two? All three boys home and I haven’t planned a single thing. Well, we’ll see how this goes 😅 Wishing you calm vibes however your Easter looks 🐣 #workingmumproblems #femalebusinessowners #mobilevideographer
